Currently, Mike is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association; Alabama and Georgia Bar Associations, the Greater Birmingham Area Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association and the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association. In 2008, Mike was awarded an award for an Outstanding Performance in a Criminal Case by the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyer's Association for his work in a high profile appointed Capital Murder case. In 2015, Mike was honored by being selected by the National Trial Lawyers as a Top 100 Trial Lawyer.
